Benefit to Attorneys and Law Firms
Attorneys find that by having us review their Chapter Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions, they save time and money. They also nearly eliminate deficiency notices and trustee directives.
Benefit to Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants
By having us review your bankruptcy petitions before sending to your attorney for review, you ensure that your work is virtually flawless. You can use the recommendations we make to learn new skills and eventually phase out this service; or we can do all your bankruptcy petition reviews. The choice is yours.
The process works like this:
1. Completely draft the petition, to the best of your ability
2. Purchase the petition review service
3. Send us a copy of the petition you have drafted:
If you are using Best Case (including the free trial version), you can email the petition to us from Best Case (or send it to disk, then email it)
If you are using another bankruptcy software program, you can print the petition to PDF, and email it to us
4. We will review the petition, and email back a documented list of our recommendations, that you can review and implement at your leisure
5. If you have questions, you may email them and we will respond, or we can schedule a time to discuss the recommendations over the phone
Why does this service work?
Because you are working hands on with a petition, you will be intimately familiar with it, so that you will be able to take the documented list of recommendations that we make, and use it as a checklist to implement the changes into the petition, and learn by doing. Furthermore, you get the opportunity to interact with us by email or phone to get questions answered, and receive any additional clarification needed. We do it this way to help you improve your skills, and accelerate your learning curve.
The petition review service usually takes about an hour to perform on our end, and includes reasonableemail or phone correspondence (usually up to 30 minutes) thereafter.
If you are NOT using Best Case software:
Although we do not endorse any particular bankruptcy software program, the Chapter 13 calculator in Best Case is the best in the industry. In order to prepare a Chapter 13 Plan, we must have access to changing various debt classifications and balancing out Schedule I and J to match the Plan. We are unable to make these changes in any other format other than Best Case.
However, EZFiling and Bankruptcy 2009 software will import Best Case files. Therefore, the bankruptcy petition could be prepared using the DEMO version of Best Case (no cost to you). After all the changes have been made and the petition is ready for filing, the Best Case file can be imported into EZFiling and Bankruptcy 2009 seamlessly.
If you have already prepared your bankruptcy petition in another software program other than Best Case (or the DEMO version), please contact our office at 1-800-535-9984, and we will try to work out something to help you and your client.
We apologize for any inconvenience the software issue may cause you but this issue is out of our control. We have contacted Marty Mohr (President of EZ-Filing) and Frederick Rogalvy (President of Bankruptcy 2010) and suggested they incorporate the Chapter 13 calculator into their software.
Please allow 48 hours from the time we receive your bankruptcy petition, to fully review it, and return a documented list of recommendations.
